 | Comments: |
We walked down Stinson Lake Rd eastward about 200 yards past the bridge with the waterfall and ducked into the woods. Small section of trail was unbroken, but snow was not deep. In about an 1/8 of a mile, we joined up with Brown Brook SnowMo Trail. About a mile after that Mt. Kineo Trail joined the snowmo trail. At 2.8 miles, Mt. Kineo Trail left the main snowmo trail. This was just after a big junction of snowmo trails where there were also maps of the snowmo trails. There was a small yellow sign and yellow blazes on the left side that marked Mt. Kineo Trail. This trail was completely unbroken. The snow was DEEP, above the knees. The dog stayed right behind us in our snowshoe tracks. We broke trail for just about a mile before we ran out of time and energy and turned around. We were still about 1/2 mile from the height of land. Return trip was easy. |
