Sunapee only permits uphill travel when they are not open for business. 4:30 pm to 15 minutes before they open. I skinned up Ridge starting just after 4:30. One strong skier passed me right away and I never caught him. I tagged highpoint and did not see evidence of anyone using the hiking trail. Ski down was fun, I didn't need my headlamp. Believe it or not this was my first winter tag of this peak, my dozens of times up have always been just before or just after calendar winter. |
