Comments
Comments: Lower portion of the trail has seen some use, but is not well packed. Some parasitic postholing and divotting made a little bit of a mess down low, but fortunately didn't go too far beyond the first snowmobile trail crossing.

Above the second snowmobile trail crossing, the trail has seen very little use (maybe two sets of snowshoes?). Further up, folks lost the trail for awhile (not sure if the tracks connect to the top or not). I broke the trail out, reaching some older snowshoe tracks drifted in not too far from the top snowmobile junction.

Generally speaking, there's 2 feet of snowpack down low and 3 feet higher up. I would not have made it without snowshoes. If you prefer Microspiking, you can take the snowmobile trail from the parking lot and avoid trashing the hiking trail.

Another chilly afternoon/evening with temperatures in the upper teens and some gusty wind up high. Very light snow flurries after sunset.
