Comments
Comments: Two night overnight at Zealand Hut and a Wednesday traverse over to Bond and West Bond, then out today over Hale. Long day Wednesday, but really not bad overall compared to the nightmare stories I'd seen the past week on here. Usual push thru the car wash between Zealand and Guyot, then Guyot to Bond. Only sprung three or four spruce traps between us. Freeze/thaw on Tuesday down low did not translate in the higher terrain. Lots of drifting and blowing all day on the Twinway. Lend-A-Hand was pretty well packed out, Hale Brook was a bit of a hard packed unlevel mess down low where folks had hiked on it on snowshoes during Tuesday's warmth. This lower section of Hale Brook all the way up to the top of the sidehill portion is likely the only portion of this hike where one would want dull Hillsounds. Please wear snowshoes on the rest of it.
