Comments
Comments: At 7:30am started the day hiking up Polecat Ski Trail at Wildcat. The snow had just started. The groomed ski trail made for a quick hike to Wildcat D. It was snowing pretty steady and blowing at the top. Wildcat Ridge was easy to follow as the snow had only started to accumulate. At Carter Notch Hut had to change all upper layers and mittens because they were soaked through. Climbed Carter Dome. At the top there was 6 inches of new snow. From Zeta Pass to Middle Carter was slow going because route finding was required and the snow was starting to pile up. The hike down North Carter Trail and Imp was not as much snow but started getting sticky. By the time we got to Camp Dodge all clothes were wet again. Thanks to my hiking partner for trying to keep me in good spirits.
