 | Comments: |
Ammo is well packed by skiers to Monroe Brook, and beyond there we broke it out with 2 sets of snowshoes to the hut and most of the trail up Monroe. HOWEVER, there's a huge amount of wind-loaded snow on the upper part of the trail to the peak which did not look safe to ascend, so we turned around and found our own way up to the summit on firm/textured snow the northwest side. Snowshoes to the hut & spikes above treeline (we used K-10s). |
