 | Comments: |
The majority of the trail was broken. We were able to summit in microspikes with some postholing along the way; snowshoes or skis would certainly make for an easier ascent. We met one person on our way up who had made it to about .75 miles short of the summit before deciding to head back because of the unclear trail and deep snow. We chose to continue to the summit, breaking in the trail for that final .75 mile stretch. While we made it in light traction, snowshoes would have made the journey far easier and are recommended. Be prepared to fall chest deep in snow! |
