Comments
Comments: We headed up to Imp Ledges, Middle Cater and South Cater, then retraced our steps back to the trailhead. The first mile was packed and easy going, but after that, the drifts kicked in—snowshoes were 100% necessary. Past Imp Ledges, we broke trail all the way to North Carter Trail, which was partially broken (we managed to follow the trench). The ridge was drifted over. Would strongly recommend snowshoes if you are going to be on the ridge.

Overall, a solid day—plenty of trailbreaking, bluebird skies, and downright frigid temps.
