Comments
Comments: Up Pine Bend, started in snowshoes and was pleasantly surprised on how solid and wonderful the first 2 miles of the trail was. On the steeps the snow was softer with a fresh dusting of snow but could still easily follow the weekends tracks. Between North and Middle the trail was a little of everything, packed trail, snow drifts, no tracks at all. On the return down we took the snowshoes off for the last 2ish miles. The trail is in great shape, some drifts in between peaks we had to break through but overall the best conditions I’ve ever hiked Pine Bend in. Snowshoes are definitely still needed but as of today can use spikes for the bottom.
