 | Comments: |
If there is additional accumulation at tree line without any melt, Gorge Brook will become VERY difficult to pass through. I had to crawl on my hands and knees in multiple places under the trees. Same goes for Carriage Rd. I hiked for sunset, so descending on Snapper and Carriage Road was fine, no skiers. I wore snowshoes, bareboot and spikes were what others were wearing. Would be fine until you hit the snow drifts and start postholing. Be prepared with your worst puffy and pants, the branches are sharp and unavoidable. |
