Trail was super soft and wore snowshoes the whole way. Careful were you step as it’s not guaranteed to be firm or could be water and slush hiding underneath. I did manage to get across the first 2 hard water crossings by going up more and finding a better spot to cross. The last one that’s about .5 mile to the summit I could not get across. It looks like slush but it’s over 4’ deep so don’t try it! I didn’t find any safe place to cross so turned around. I stepped on a few spots that were covered in snow but it let go and was slush underneath that suctioned my snowshoes in and I had to dig with my hands to release them.
Choose trails wisely after this rain |
