Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: [MUD SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!} Plenty of room at Mead Base early this morning and full up when I returned. I use Dinsmore Pond Rd. to cut over to Diamond Ledge Rd. and both roads were rutted from the recent thaw. Rt. 113 through Holderness and Sandwich is a roly-poly ride due to frost heaves.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The main stream crossing was open and running but was easily crossed.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Noted one small blowdown that looked like it was cleared recently. With less snow on the ground it was easier to see the relocations that were done not too long ago -- two short sections of switchbacks that don't add anything to the overall trail distance.

Comments
Comments: I wanted to get another visit in here to check out the relocations on Wentworth Trail before the weather really warms up.

Trail conditions were pretty much perfect here this morning. The trail was a hard packed sidewalk all the way up and spikes were just fine round-trip. There are a few postholes here and there but they are mainly off to the sides. With the upcoming warm temps this is all going to be mush. I'm not a fast hiker by any means but the great conditions made for a quick trip up and down.

Looks like an early start was a good idea as there were lots of people headed up as I was descending. I only saw one other early bird hiker.
