 | Comments: |
Spikes for the first 2 miles, then snowshoes. The first 2 miles were hard packed. Then we came to softer snow and some drifts. The summit of Pierce has some ice and Eisenhower has even more. It wasn't too hard to deal with going up but coming down was more difficult. You need to be very careful or consider switching to spikes/crampons for the descent especially on Eisenhower. Quite a few hikers on the trail. |
