Comments
Comments: We wore microspikes up to the base of the slide since the trail was pretty firm. From there, we switched to crampons and brought out the ice axe for the 0.6-mile ascent up the steeps. Had to channel my inner cat, digging in with claws (er, crampons). The slide was fantastic - mostly snowy, not too icy, and plenty of fun. Afterward, we summited Flume and Liberty, had an absolute blast buttsledding down a well-packed Liberty Spring. The summits were fiercely windy, but overall, it was a great day!
