Comments
Comments: The trail was snow covered with a couple inches of fresh snow. I came across almost no ice except on the chimney bypass. I wore snowshoes car to car and felt it was the right choice. There is a quarter mile or more of steeps where my televators were a life saver. The ridge was covered in 10-12 inch drifts. Coming down the steeps I followed the lead of Danielle and butt slid. I attempted to walk down one step section and caught a snowshoe and did a head first roll. Luckily one of my snowshoes caught a branch and halted my slide. Made me think I shouldn't be hiking solo.
