Comments
Comments: First/last mile are sendy. Nice & packed. Up higher before treeline there is a mix of looser snow on top of packed trails and sections of annoyingly slick snow from butt sledders (when is Trump going to ban butt sledding, do something good for the parks). Above treeline, rocks mixed with ice and some ankle deep snow drifts. My new spikes cried a little on the rocks. Nothing worthy of snowshoes unless you've got a kink for destroying them, then snowshoe away! Had the ridge to myself and my bearded mountain man. Heading down Falling Waters there were some postholes that made for a bumpy ride. I did ok, I like it a little rough. If you want these peaks, get 'em soon before the melt and us trail runners posthole up to our naughty bits! And PLEASE remember, for the love of god. NEVER TRUST A TRAIL RUNNER!
