Hard pack all the way wore spikes all day shoes went for a ride. not sure how long this will be valid given temps and possible rain, but right now it is a fast track. Scrambled up to first/little {?) sister I love this view in winter, similar to Chocorua but a special view of the icy cone shimmering in the sun. Went up through the falls able to complete the loop, caution on the icy stairs. Strangely this might be the first time I have done this trail and saw no one else all day, and it was a beautiful sunny warm day, felt very fortunate to catch this tail end of winter. |
