Lots of trees leaning into and over the trial, mostly on Garfield Ridge Trail |

Garfield Trail was hard packed in the morning. Great for spikes.
Garfield Ridge Trail hasn't seen a lot of traffic and was loosely consolidated. I found snowshoes worked best to avoid leaving boot holes in the trail.
Gale River and Frost Trails were hard packed, although softened in the afternoon heat. I wore snowshoes on the way out to avoid leaving boot holes in the trail also. |
