 | Comments: |
First 1.5 miles is dirt/ice, unfortunately ice in the tricky spots so required spikes. Did spikes the whole way when starting first thing in the morning, was a nice hard packed snowy trail. All crossings were iced-over. Saw only 1-2 other people going up this morning but many groups on our descent. Trail was starting to become sloppy and slushy in some areas with more people postholing when trying to pass. Looked like nearly everyone was carrying snowshoes up so hopefully snowshoes down will reset the trail to a good condition. |
