With snowshoes, soft snow and numerous postholes, this was much harder than usual. Very nice day, and fabulous views as usual from the top. But the trail was a bit of a thrash. It was a warm day, so that was some of it. But, the postholes made parts of the trail a very tricky dance, and the whole thing was more tiring than it needed to be. Unless we get a big freeze, in which case this trail will be treacherous, PLEASE wear snowshoes. I am not usually militant on this issue, but this trail did not need to end up like this. |
