 | Comments: |
Zealand Rd was clear & dry so we bare booted to Hale Brook Trailhead then switched to spikes for the ascent. The trail was hard packed the whole way but choppy due to post holes. Hiking was easy except for the narrow strait (hill sliding) between the last 2 water crossings, which was dicey. Snowshoes went along for the ride. As the day progressed and got warmed, the snow softened a bit and the narrow strait was more challenging. We switched back to barebooting once we were back to Zealand Rd. |
