 | Comments: |
Trail was well packed up to Pierce. Spikes worked well. Between the peaks the conditions deteriorate. Many post holes made snowshoes hard to use. Spikes were the footwear to wear balancing on the ridges between the holes. Above tree line there was running water , ice and rocks. Rock spikes worked well with these conditions. Very narrow passage between the fir trees between the peaks. I sawed quite a few eye pokers but there are still plenty I left which will bounce out of the way with snow melt. |
