Weather was outstanding to the point the sole young lady seen was wearing a tank top. I used micro-spikes the entire hike. The micro-spikes took a beating on the rocks upon reaching the hut and going up and down both Madison and Adams. On Adams there was enough ice here and there that it was worth the beating for the micro-spikes. Madison probably could have easily been done bare booting. Below the hut the monorail was getting thinner and thinner.
I met up and hiked with two hikers (Mike & Mike) who completed their winter 4ks upon reaching Madison. congrats to the both of them. |
