Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking on lot off Rte. 3 and before the gate

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Mud - Significant, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Unstable), Snow/Ice - Postholes, Snow/Ice - Small Patches 
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Difficult due to snowmelt. Look for the bushwhacks and faint herd paths to the two snowmobile bridges 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of (apparently)recent maintenance, even at higher elevation. Still many new blow downs, a few with herd paths forming. Lots of streams flowing right in the trail, perhaps due to long term deterioration of the middle part of the trail

Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few. Ample water... sometimes right in the trail

Comments
Comments: Comfortable temps, but lots of melting. Trails are solid and passable up high, but rapidly deteriorating at lower elevations. Beware of postholing on either side of the partly hidden monorail!
Spring conditions on the last day of winter. At least I got great photos, and #11/W48
