 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
plenty of parking in the PNVC lot at 7am on a wednesday ... PNVC lot was full when we left, there were 25 cars in the overflow lot, room for another 25+ cars ... not sure if parking on route 16 is allowed anymore ... Tuckerman Ravine is in prime season right now, weekends will be busy ... arrive early |

 | Comments: |
wore microspikes from Crystal Cascades up to Tuckerman Ravine floor and back to PNVC ... carried snowshoes for no apparent reason ... trail had a solid base that should last another few weeks ... we expected sticky snow balling up under foot/traction but decent shade from conifers along Tuckerman Ravine Trail kept snow cool enough to avoid getting sticky ...
gorgeous bluebird day, with royal blue sky as a backdrop to a snow-filled Tuckerman Ravine headwall ... spent 2+ hours basking in warm Winter sun watching skiers earn their turns ... nice way to celebrate the last day of Winter ...
Sherburne Ski Trail had good coverage, lots of people skiing down it ... get 'em while you can !
