Comments
Comments: Most people were wearing spikes but i prefer light snowshoes. Nice hike after a full morning paddling the Upper Swift River nearby. Very icy and a bit scary on trail down from Pitcher Falls. I had to skooch a bit over ice bulges on the trail. Super ice formations! I went maybe a half mile above upper loop turnoff before reaching my turnaround time. There were long sections of mud.
