Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The one major one on Dicey's was easily crossed using the logs. Every other minor crossing was rock hop-able.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Met a WODC trail maintainer on Blueberry Ledge Trail. He was hard at work today clearing the many blowdowns that are all over this trail. Most are pretty minor. Cleared lots of branches and small trees from the trail. One major blowdown heading up to Passaconaway on Dicey's Mill. Some people were crawling under, some were going around.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: My dog enjoyed this hike, needed a boost on the ledges (they were a tad icy). His biggest issue today was falling into the many postholes. Saw two other pups today!

Comments
Comments: Spring has sprung indeed. Trail conditions were a mixed bag of everything. Heading up to Whiteface wasn't bad, there was a stable monorail and some postholes off to the side from people who clearly stepped off the monorail. Sections of bare trail, spikes were on and off for the first 2 miles, then stayed on. No more snow on ledges, just a small patch of ice that's avoidable. Rollins was very similar, some sections of ice, bare trail, and a stable monorail. Passaconaway clearly saw more traffic - the trail was not in the best condition. Extremely uneven, postholes everywhere, etc. Snow was getting soft so I put my snowshoes on to try to even out the trail, but I knew there were several groups behind me that I met on Passaconaway without snowshoes, so the trail is likely not looking too good. Got some really great views today, getting close to completing my dog's second round of the 48!
