Clark Brook crossings was a bit dicy - ice-covered rocks or 3" of water on top of rocks. We opted to try rocks or cross on a downed tree which was good because we then located a part of one of our poles that broke earlier in the river. |

Terrific afternoon. We carried spikes but didn't put them on. Someone who is more sane would use them. Monorail was pretty stable and ice was patchy but on the trails near the falls only I went down to falls and I didn't view the keyhole head-on as that section was sidehill ice and I didn't want to end up in the pool. Super-pretty woods as usual. Clark Brook was hopping - almost paddleable!!! |
