Beautiful hike, especially the side-trip to North Cube. Lower 1/3 of the trail is dry/clear and easy for bare-booting. From the middle of the climb up to the summit rocks traction is definitely appropriate. On the trail up the monorail has been replaced with solid ice across nearly the entire trail and flowing down the rocks on each side. No real snow anywhere on the trail until after the summit if you continue on AT towards the North Peak. |
