Trace of snow down low building to 3-4 inches of new snow by about 2600 feet. First two miles muddy, wet and minimal snow. First sign of monorail starts around 2500 feet. I bare booted to about 2800 feet then used spikes, some balling. Snowshoes would have been good too from there to summit. Trail was quite solid, no post holing today but when it warms up again snowshoes will be needed as there is still 3-4 feet of snow on the upper section of the trail. |
