Both my pups joined me today. Nice to get the younger one out to learn from my experienced guy. This is a great trail for dogs, but be mindful of their paws + fresh/soft snow (snowballing). |

This trail is in amazing condition. I was surprised to see virtually no postholes! Not much has changed since the last report on March 23 - still a very solidly packed trail, easy up and down today with microspikes, so much so that I was able to hike it faster than ever before, and finish well before sunset. Some snow falling, but a very solid icy surface below the light snow. Sosman trail was a slick and required a bit more care. Towards the end, snowballing was occurring on my spikes. Got some decent views today! |
