Parking/Access Road Notes: Limited roadside parking at the unmarked trailhead on Mountain Rd. in Lyndeborough. I don't usually see other hikers here but there were three cars when I arrived.

Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: PLC has installed a new bog bridge at the wet low point between Lyndeborough and Rose. No more crossing on skinny logs. The stream near the trailhead was easily rock hopped.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Not sure who maintains Helen's Trail on the private land sections. There's a widowmaker right at the trailhead and a small step over shortly beyond that. The trail is only blazed as far as The Pinnacle. The bypass loop has a few step overs that have been there forever. The old wooden signs that have been on Helen's Trail for ages are still holding up well. No issues on the PLC trails.
Dog-Related Notes

Bugs: I saw a grand total of one. Soon.

Comments
Comments: This is usually a go-to spring hike for me and this current spring is no exception. These trails get a lot of sun and melt out fairly early in the season.

Overall, this hike was mainly bare. There were some scattered patches of snow from the most recent storm, and one very short section of ice monorail from snowmobile traffic. Neither will last long. There were a few puddles and a stretch of mud heading up to The Pinnacle but everything was avoidable.

Great views from Rose and the new-ish view ledge reached by Summit View Trail is super; the best spot up there. I saw four hikers heading out as I was heading in and then no one else all day.
