SLOPPY trail conditions, even on this well-draining, fairly south-facing route.
Initially somewhat dry with small patches of snow, transitioning to a trace to an inch as it approaches the bridge. Above the old foundation, 1-3 inches thereafter with nearly complete snowcover from Tuesday's storm. Lots of slush from unfrozen ground. Cabin Trail still has monorail for a stretch near the top. I barebooted roundtrip, but some folks may prefer light traction. Probably the easiest thing to do is to either wait or go somewhere further south.
Partly sunny afternoon with temperatures in the 40s. |
