Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Dirt road approaching AMC lodge was fine at 30 degrees in morning but at 50 degrees on way out at 2pm it was getting muddy. Wouldn’t take a low slung sedan in if it’s warm. Subarus and above clearance wise a good idea if it’s warm

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Dropped a green stuff sack with spare hat on Manning somewhere. Ugh.

Comments
Comments: Some fresh snow with two sets of tracks. Max depth maybe 4-5” on Manning. We carried snowshoes based on caretaker telling us we would be postholing. It really wasn’t deep enough to worry about that 90% of hike. I think my friend and I had two 1ft deep postholes the whole loop. Some ice under the newer snow on scrambles and other spots but with care no big deal. Pretty consistent conditions until descent on Clark when it warmed up and was a little sloppy. Things will change but overall great day conditions wise for spring.
