The two water crossings after the split with Nineteen-Mile Brook up on Carter Dome were manageable by rock hopping. There are still some snow bridges but I wouldn't trust them. |

 | Comments: |
As the last submission reported, you get the whole range of spring conditions: dry trail, wet trail, mud, trace amounts of snow, deeper but manageable soft snow, and a thin monorail along the Carter-Moriah trail that is oh so fun to navigate on a steep angle and lots of branches/downed trees. But up on the summit, we were rewarded with amazing view across the valley because the snow depths/drifts up top are high enough to get the views! No one has attempted the steeper ascent to Hight, and it looked no one had been out on the other branch recently. |
