Stashed a bike at the Norris Rd trailhead; then parked at the Dame Hill Rd lot. Plenty of room in the lot. |

There was an orange, 32 oz. Hydro Flask on the ground just uphill from the vista on the west side of the mountain. I thought it might have been left there intentionally. So I left it where it was. |

I went up the east side of Sunday Mountain; then down the west side. There are a few restricted views of Moosilauke, Mt. Cube and Smarts Mountain on this route, but the summit is covered by hardwoods. Views will be even more restricted when the trees leaf out.
Cross Rivendell Trail is a very pleasant ramble. If you are looking for an alternative to "spring conditions" in the Whites, try this or another hike in the AT corridor southwest of Moosilauke. I didn't even need spikes on this day. |
