Comments
Comments: There was deep fresh snow everywhere. The first mile of the trail proper was awkward, since there was 6+ inches of powder on top of bare rocks. But now there's a fully broken trail up from the summer parking lot to the summit, with at least 3 pairs of snowshoes packing it. Waterville Valley had groomed the road for XC skiers by the afternoon, so that is solidly packed down.
