Parked at the hiker kiosk, still had spots open. Hiker parking lot was nearly empty. |

Trail has significant mud and standing/running water at times but trail was 75% dry. Some stashes of snow still lingering at the start and is more significant after the last outlook where you head into the woods for the final summit push. In this section, there is about 1-2" of soft and slushy snow with some icy patches. We were able to bare boot roundtrip.
The view of Mt. Washington and it's ski trails across massive Squam Lake was great! I did realize how extensive a ski trails network has been built around the Cog Railway. We could some folks skiing down the headwall...LOL. :-) |
