The trail surface was generally dry however there are patches of ice where one would want to put on Microspikes. With careful foot placement we were able to avoid most however around the halfway point area, there as significant ice where I put on my microspikes. Went up the road (gate is closed), then up and down Winslow. The view were spectacular. We went up the firetower to take in the 360 degree panorama. This hike is conveniently located and has a steady ascent with a few steep pitches. |
