Well what a day!!! We barebooted until Valley way. There was very firm snow this morning which was nice. Only 2 sections of boiler plate ice but it would become bare ground afterwards. Spikes could be used for sure here with crampons not being overkill. When we hit treeline⦠1% snow and that wad only in the 2 tree sections. Some avoidable ice up on adams. Dumped our bags at the hut after we had lunch and congratulated Corrie!!!! Rock spikes did just fine all the way almost to the car. Right before maple walk I took them off to the car. We got barely any wind up high with unseasonable temps! Glad to get these done for April! |
