Comments
Comments: Trail conditions are unpleasant, as are the larger water crossings. With waterproof boots, you should be fine. As the snow continues to melt, they may become more sketchy though. I wore snowshoes after the first couple water crossings, as I was hiking in the late afternoon and the trail was getting soft. Some open patches of mud, some exposed rock, some thick, annoying ice, some post holes, all the things you'd expect in April. Looked like most people before me had been barebooting, could see where they had slid in spots. Snow is still deep and drifted once you get to the switchbacks. Summit cone is mostly snow free, some ice and water. This weekends weather may render this report irrelevant.
