Comments
Comments: Cherry Mountain Trail, was a mix.. soft trail, not quite “mud” that was easily navigated, barebooted to start. Continued with microspikes after reaching Snow/ Ice.. most snow encountered was packed with no postholing all the way to Martha’s Summit. From there by way of Martha’s Mile to Second view point on Owls Head Peak it was snowpack that was manageable with spikes, neither hard/soft really middle of the road stuff, not sticky.. minimal posthole. Blazes were fine to track hike though no defined tracks. Some blow downs to walk around. Nothing that would pose any slippery conditions with exposed rock, that you couldn’t get around. I will always recommend this time of year, bring the snowshoes. They went for a ride but I could see the section of Martha’s Mile changing to be better traveled with them, than without.
Light rain started when we left, great day for some views on one of the 52s

Happy Hiking !! 🥾
