Comments
Comments: Started at 7:30 from Lafayette Campground lot, snow was hard packed the whole way up HiCannon. The ladder was clear with some dry ledge visible. The way down Kinsman Ridge to Lonesome Lake trail was steep. At the boulder there's a wall of ice which I navigated in a sketchy manner of hugging trees and being very careful (not recommended). Remainder of Kinsman Ridge was hard-ish packed but didn't post hole while staying on trail. By 10 when I hit around the lake everything was starting to become mashed potatoes. Dodge Cut-Off was still solid but lightly used. The rest of the way down Hi-Cannon was hard on top but an inch or two of slicker spring snow on top given the time of day. All in all about 3.5hrs round trip.
