 | Comments: |
Trail fast and very firm. Ideal conditions today for just micro spikes.
Wore them from parking lot, peak to peak. Some muddy sections
down low but it firms up to a mono-rail on lower
elevations before transitioning to very frozen granular on
top of 2-3 feet of snow. On the way to Eisenhower
the snow diminishes to more exposed bare rock
with blue ice in sections mixed in with frozen granular.
In the descent in the early afternoon the trail was still
unseasonably firm. Does not get any better
than this. |
