Comments: No Snow/ice below about 2500 ft. Above trails were in good shape, very firm packed snow and some ice, although with intermittent bare patches. Great firm packed snow on the steeps on Garfield Ridge trail. We wore Hillshounds once the snow started in earnest. No postholing or slipping. Of course weather could change these conditions.
