Nothing new for blowdowns. Surprised to see no standing water in the trail yet. |

 | Comments: |
Winter has returned since yesterday’s report. The mountain received about 2 inches of snow during my hike from 9:30-3:30. My snowshoes stayed on my pack the whole time. Spikes were balling up badly on the lower half, but that improved higher up where it was colder. The main issue was staying dry through the car-wash of snowy branches, I had to use all layers of rain gear and a big poncho to shed the constant dumping of snow. No wind or view at the summit, just snowing steadily. Tonight, the wind and more snow may erase my footprints. I saw one other person today and they were wearing snowshoes. |
