 | Comments: |
On ascent road was snow covered but by the time we descended the snow pack from morning had melted significantly and some of the road was bare. Broke trail through a few inches of fresh powder from beginning to summit withs some drifts knee height. Footing was tedious with snow covered rocks, ice, mud, etc. both on the way up and on the way back down. More sun than expected which was welcoming. Temp was 17 to start, probably reaching mid 30's the last couple of miles. Light wind at summit - nicer day than predicted - we'll take it. |
