Comments
Comments: Everything was well packed. I wore spikes on the way up to Avalon summit which worked well with a great solid foundation, snow that came in this week was great to be on. After summiting Avalon, the trail was a bit of a mess with trails in circles. I would pay attention to your GPS to not get turned around, it was pretty annoying. Getting out to Willey is perfect, 4ft of base to walk on (through trees) in some places. I put on snow shoes for Willey -> Tom and out. Could have worn them all day, but spikes worked well and could be enough.
