Comments
Comments: Summitted Tom first and then out to Field. Barebooted for the first .5 mile and then spikes. The trail was in good condition with 1-2 inches of fresh snow. There was one area where the fresh snow covered up ice. Fortunately this was isolated to a small area on Willey Range.
The trail is in great condition and the water crossings were very manageable. We returned the same way we came choosing not to go down the Avalon Trail towards Mt Avalon. It did not look well packed and the trails we took up were so good we went back down the same way.
