Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A number of the wet spots on the 3/4 mile flat section before EH bushwhack are probably going to get you a little muddy. The main crossing of Rocky Branch to get to Iso Express was pretty straightforward, especially if you are willing to step on slightly (less than 1") submerged rocks.

Comments
Comments: What else are you going to do on a snowy/drizzly April day? The current established track up Rocky Branch goes to the climber's left of the actual trail, starting about 1 mile in, a bit straighter than the actual trail. Snow was fairly fluffy on the way up, barebooted all the way to the summit, no problems other than the occasional posthole. Put micros on for the descent down the Isolation Spur as it is a little icy, took them off going down EH as they were badly balling. Would have put on snowshoes for EH Bushwhack but didn't want to wear them while crossing the river. On the way up, I went lower than the established track at the first swampy section, not bad barebooting even off the trail, but I'd suggest sticking to the established high road (about 3300') which I did on the way back. Things were slushy for the last few miles. A few other folk heading up, so the route is probably pretty established.
